Most famous for his articles about Joe DiMaggio, Dean Martin, and Frank Sinatra, Gay Talese describes the deleterious effects that recording devices, hollowed expense accounts, and an emphasis on ‘indoor life’ have had on the writing process. Talese does a fantastic job of illustrating the point on how technology has impacted journalism.
